Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC)
Founded in 2016, GCIC is a pioneering business incubator with a unique focus of developing SME ventures and entrepreneurs in Ghana’s ‘Green Economy’. We do this with a focus on five key economic sectors (energy efficiency & renewable energy; solar power; climate smart agriculture; domestic waste management; water management and purification), the provision of premium business advisory and business mentoring services, technical support in the development, prototyping and testing of their innovation, as well as financial Proof of Concept grants to qualifying SMEs within incubator. Hikma Agro Services is a member of GCIC Cohort 4.

Our track record demonstrates strong delivery and partnership:
2015–2016: Partnered with PowerAfrica (USAID) to introduce powered irrigation in the Nabogu River Valley, benefiting over 200 farmers across three villages.
2018–2026: Collaborated with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) to scale clean seed yam technology, significantly boosting yields in Northern Ghana.
2018: Pioneered soil-less farming systems with the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) for quality seed yam production.
2021–2026: Led innovative agrivoltaics research with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
2023–present: Provides practical training and internships to African students through the University for Development Studies (West Africa Centre for Irrigation and Sustainable Agriculture).
2024-presen: Carrying out a proof-of-concept and pilot project on Black Soldier Fly farming with support from Biotechnology and Nuclear Agriculture Research Centre(BNARI)
